The San Francisco Italian Athletic Club’s Festa Coloniale Italiana will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the
heart of San Francisco’s North Beach. This community cultural event celebrates the San Francisco Italian Athletic
Club’s incredible heritage and celebrate its 95th anniversary.
The event takes place on Stockton Street, outside the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club’s facilities and across from
Washington Square Park. The closure of Stockton Street (between Union Street and Filbert Street) for this event will
provide a geographic location that is both at the center of the North Beach business district and the heart of San
Francisco’s Italian-American community. Activities promote family attendance with a focus on Italian culture and
heritage past and present.
The Festa Coloniale Italiana is a free, family event that showcases the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club’s facilities,
heritage, members and community resources. Exhibitor presentations and sales range from Italian Arts and Crafts to
Specialty Foods. Performances by Bay Area Italian musical artists and dancers are featured on the Festa stage.
